Three

Happy 3rd Birthday Briggs!

We would have liked to have had a Max and Ruby or Thomas cake, but Bob is 3rd best.

He couldn't help it he had to dig in. I told him we needed to wait until his party, but he was so excited. He wanted to take the cake everywhere we went today.

His new BIG WHEEL. We were going to get him a regular bike with training wheels, but Joe thought that he needed a Big Wheel like when he was younger.

Blowing out the candles!

He got this tent from my Mom and Dad. He called it his clubhouse.

Jagger and Briggs had a camp out in the living room. Briggs cried this morning when put the tent away. We'll get it out again, soon!

Family Fun

Brooke-The Graduate
On Saturday night, we went out to Briar's Family Camp and ate dinner. I love spending time with my family and this was a different setting than usual. It was good for a change.

Briggs dug into the Doritos!

Briggs loved this tent.

Saturday morning Joe, Jagger, and I went to Quail lake to try out our new boat. I spent the day basking in the sun as Joe and Jag caught the fish. Jag caught the very first fish on our new boat at a weight of 3.3 pounds. "It was the biggest fish he has ever caught" and then the competition was on. Joe ended up catching two nice ones after Jag. It was a fun filled morning!

Look at that monster!

TWENTY-NINE YIKES!

Well first of all I have to say, I have been a little uneasy for a while now about this day coming. But it ended up being the best in a decade!

Well this should be at the end of my post. This was our final destination on our hike! I was so proud of Jagger. Two years ago, we did this same hike and he (well both of us) thought he was going to die and he hardly complained and never stopped this time.

We are all so beautiful! Love Jags face :)
Briggs and Grandma
Tram ride. Jason was so excited, because this was his first time on a bus.
Jason filled his sock with dirt all the way to the top.
Picnicing-Briar made the best chicken salad. YUM!
My nephew Jason-What a ham! This is exactly what I wanted to do for my 29th (*cringing) birthday. I was thrilled when my sister Briar said that she was coming down. I love to hike and especially with the people I love so much. My family decorated my classroom for Monday morning, which was a wonderful suprise, since Joe thought my birthday was on Tuesday and had to call me after he'd already left for work to wish me a Happy Birthday. That afternoon, Joe took me to Cedar where he bought me a few new outfits and we went out for Mexican food (My favorite). I've had a great time in my twenties, and I am going to make this last year the best of all and so when it is time to bring on thirty I will feel okay with it.

Rocket Derby

Joe and Jagger spent several weeks getting the rocket just right. In March, Jagger participated in the 4th Ward Scout Rocket Derby and took 1st place. He was so excited! He thought his Dad was the best rocket builder, EVER! Then he was invited to go to the District Rocket Derby the following week. We tried to let Jagger know that there was really no possibility that he would win, because his Rocket did not make it to the end of the line when other Rockets had. We thought he understood this and assumed he was going to the District event just for the fun of it. But when he didn't win, he was VERY disapointed. He no longer felt that his Dad was the best and that made Joe a little mad. But all in all, it was fun and it was great to see Jagger and Joe enjoying working on something together.

Today In My Brain

This is my poor boy. I know he doesn't look too bad, but you need to take into account that this is day 4 of being sick with influenza. You should have seen him on day 2! And on to what Mom is doing while taking care of this sweety. The first 2 days I held him and loved him as he whined. Yesterday, I tried to recover from lack of sleep AND then there is today. Well, let's just say today I am stewing over things I can't do much about RIGHT NOW, like the chipping paint in my bathroom. Would someone who really loves to paint, come and touch up my baseboards and doors in my bathroom please before I go CRAZY!
Oh, and my long lost love is found again. Several years ago when Joe and I were first married. I did all I could to scrimp and save (Heck, I still do!) It doesn't matter how much money we have, I am still scrimping and saving. Well, I gave up many things that I loved, but thought I could live without due to the expense of them and Downey was one of them. Just the other day, my Mom sent up clothes that had been left at her house and she had washed. It was heavenly smelling that scent of Downey on them. I took off right to the store to buy me some! I do not want to live without my clothes smelling fresh, AGAIN!

Well, you've heard it! Today in the life of Natalie's Brain!
